QCSF Team to Participate in 2025 FISU Summer World University Games in Germany

Doha: The Qatar Collegiate Sports Federation (QCSF) team is set to participate in the 2025 FISU Summer World University Games, which will be hosted by Germany from July 16 to 27. This major international event will see over 8,500 athletes from 150 countries competing in 18 different sports over 12 days, spanning 23 sports facilities across several German cities. According to Qatar News Agency, Qatar's delegation will consist of seven male and female athletes competing in four sports disciplines. Abdullah Khalifa and Khaled Hussein will represent the nation in fencing, while Abdullah Abdulwahab, Youssef Magdy, and Maryam Ali will vie for honors in table tennis. Additionally, Maryam Fatnassi will showcase her skills in taekwondo, and Mubaraka Al Nuaimi will compete in tennis. The QCSF team has already departed for Germany to take part in this prestigious tournament. Alongside the sporting events, the General Assembly of the International University Sports Federation will convene, and the World University Spor ts Congress will be organized from July 17 to 19. Secretary General of the QCSF, Rashid Saeed Adiba, highlighted that this participation aligns with the Federation's strategy to enhance the skills of QCSF athletes and prepare them for international competitions. He emphasized the importance of not merely participating but providing the athletes with valuable experience through direct interaction with the international elite, which is expected to improve their technical and mental capabilities, boost their self-confidence, and foster a spirit of challenge.
