QFF General Assembly Discusses Future Programs for 2026

Doha: The Qatar Fencing Federation (QFF) held its Ordinary General Assembly meeting for 2026, discussing key agenda items, including the federation's activities and international participations during the sports season. The meeting was chaired by QFF President Abdullah Ali Al Ghanem, who highlighted major achievements from the past period and discussed future plans and programs.

According to Qatar News Agency, Al Ghanem emphasized the importance of continuing efforts to develop fencing in Qatar and strengthen its presence regionally and internationally. The assembly addressed the national teams' participation in international and continental championships and their positive results, reflecting the progress of both male and female athletes.

The meeting also covered efforts to prepare and qualify technical and administrative staff and to organize various tournaments and sporting events. The women's fencing program was specifically addressed, with a focus on supporting and developing women's participation, investing in promising female talent, and empowering them to achieve distinguished results that raise Qatar's profile in international sports forums.

The assembly concluded with a reaffirmation of commitment to implementing development programs, organizing local and international championships in 2026, expanding participation, and enhancing talent identification initiatives in line with Qatar's sports development vision.
