QFFD Delegation Evaluates Housing Unit Projects in Seychelles

Seychelles: A delegation from the Qatar Fund for Development (QFFD) has visited the Republic of Seychelles to review the progress and community impact of the housing units project in the Glacis region, one of the country's most prominent social housing projects.

According to Qatar News Agency, the visit aimed to assess the project's actual impact on the community, meet directly with beneficiary families, and strengthen cooperation with representatives of the Seychelles government to discuss future partnership opportunities.

The QFFD highlighted that the visit underscores its commitment to supporting development solutions that enhance resilience, uphold human dignity, and bolster the country's efforts to expand access to suitable housing for the most vulnerable families.

Located in the Glacis region and known as the EX-Ferrari project, the initiative aims to provide safe and dignified housing for low-income families. To date, 54 housing units have been completed, including 42 units in the first phase of the EX-Oliver project and 12 units in the second phase of the EX-Ferrari project, contributing to improving the lives of more than 270 individuals.

These homes address the growing housing shortage, providing residents with greater stability, a safer environment, and a base to support their long-term social and economic trajectory.
