QICCA Recognized by Egypt’s State Lawsuits Authority for Regional Contributions

Cairo: The Qatar International Center for Conciliation and Arbitration (QICCA), operating under the Qatar Chamber, has been recognized by the State Lawsuits Authority of Egypt during an event commemorating the Authority's 150th anniversary. The celebration took place recently in Cairo.

According to Qatar News Agency, the shield of honor was received by HE Vice Chairman of the Board Sheikh Dr. Thani bin Ali bin Saud Al-Thani, representing QICCA's Board of Directors. The award was presented by HE Chairman of the State Lawsuits Authority, Counselor Dr. Hussein Madkour. The ceremony was attended by Egypt's Minister of Justice Counselor Adnan Fanjari, alongside various ministers and senior officials.

HE Sheikh Dr. Thani bin Ali bin Saud Al-Thani expressed his gratitude for the recognition, stating it underscores QICCA's significant standing both regionally and internationally. He highlighted the Center's role in advancing arbitration and alternative dispute resolution mechanisms in Qatar and the broader region.

He further remarked that the honor acts as a catalyst for increasing the Center's activities and fostering collaboration with legal and judicial bodies in allied and friendly nations. This, he noted, contributes to enhancing the business environment and reinforcing the principles of justice and the rule of law.

Sheikh Dr. Thani also reiterated the Center's dedication to expanding regional and international partnerships, aiming to exchange expertise with arbitration and dispute resolution institutions. This initiative is intended to improve procedural efficiency, hasten case resolution, and bolster the investment landscape in Qatar and the region.

In acknowledgment of the Authority's role in protecting public funds and its impressive success rate in government cases, HE Sheikh Dr. Thani presented HE Counselor Dr. Hussein Madkour with a commemorative shield on behalf of QICCA.
