Doha: Qatar News Agency (QNA) concluded its training course on artificial intelligence (AI) in journalism at QNA Training Halls, as part of a series of courses and programs organized by the agency with the aim of raising the efficiency of its employees and enhancing their skills in various media and journalistic fields.
According to Qatar News Agency, the three-day training course was lectured by Professor Nabil Kamel, a specialist in digital sociology and a trainer in AI applications. A group of government sector employees participated in the course, in addition to agency employees from various departments and sections.
The course aimed to introduce participants to the basic functions of AI, its types, techniques and tools, in addition to presenting technical concepts related to AI in the field of journalism. The course also covered a range of practical topics, such as using AI in producing automated content, verifying news and detecting fake news, analyzing data, and collecting sources.
It also explored the use of AI in data journalism, newsrooms, and cybersecurity, as well as the ethics of AI in the media.
In March 2023, QNA opened 'QNA Training Halls,' equipped with the latest training methods, as part of its vision to enhance the capabilities of Qatari media professionals and create a generation capable of leading the future of national media.
