QNB Group and Ministry of Labor Host Successful Open Recruitment Day

Doha: QNB Group, in collaboration with the Ministry of Labor, organized the Open Recruitment Day, which saw a significant turnout of Qatari national graduates and talents eager to pursue careers in the banking sector. This initiative supports the job nationalization plan within Qatar National Vision 2030, focusing on sustainable economic growth.

According to Qatar News Agency, this event is part of QNB's ongoing programs, in cooperation with the Ministry of Labor, to implement this plan in line with the Third National Development Strategy 2024-2030. The strategy aims to empower citizens to participate more actively in the labor market, offering them unique job opportunities in the financial sector, QNB Group stated in a press release.

Abdullah Nasser Al Khalifa, Senior Executive Vice President - Group Human Capital in QNB Group, expressed that the event's significant participation reflects the confidence Qatari youth have in QNB as a preferred employer. He emphasized QNB's commitment to engaging more local talent across various roles and highlighted the alignment of this initiative with Qatar National Vision 2030, which prioritizes investing in youth to support the country's sustainable development.

He further added that the strong partnership with the Ministry of Labor showcases the success of the bank's nationalization strategy. This strategy aims to strengthen the role of local talent in the sector, develop the next generation of leaders, and ensure diversity and equal opportunity.

The event provided an active platform for participants to explore various career paths offered by the bank and apply for current openings. Attendees also learned about current training opportunities, scholarships, and leadership development programs designed to support their career progression and prepare them for future leadership roles within the bank.

QNB's workforce nationalization efforts underscore its commitment to job localization, with more than 60% of its total workforce being Qatari nationals. The proportion of Qatari nationals in leadership and senior positions has risen to 76%, while women account for about 64% of the total Qatari workforce in the bank. At the branch level, QNB has achieved a 100% Qatarization rate for branch managers.
