QSE Declines 0.32% as Five Sectors Record Losses

Doha: The general index of Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) dropped by 36.24 points, or 0.32%, at the start of Thursday's trading, bringing the index down to the level of 11,336 points compared to the previous day's closing.

According to Qatar News Agency, the decline was influenced by a decrease in five sectors. The Telecoms sector fell by 0.81%, Banks and Financial Services declined by 0.39%, Transportation dropped by 0.30%, Consumer Goods and Services edged down by 0.08%, and Real Estate saw a slight decrease of 0.06%. In contrast, the Industrials sector experienced a marginal increase of 0.01%, and Insurance rose by 0.13%.

By 10:00 am, trading was active with 50.228 million shares exchanged in 6,085 transactions, amounting to a total value of QR 105.988 million.
