Doha: The general index of Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) dropped 33.14 points, or 0.31%, at the start of Wednesday's trading, reaching the level of 10,584 points. This decline was observed in comparison to the previous day's closing figures.
According to Qatar News Agency, the index's decline was primarily influenced by five sectors that experienced a downturn. Telecoms saw a reduction of 0.42%, Transportation fell by 0.34%, Banks and Financial Services decreased by 0.33%, Industrials went down by 0.28%, and Real Estate dropped by 0.12%. Conversely, some sectors showed minor increases, with Consumer Goods and Services rising by 0.04% and Insurance slightly increasing by 0.01%.
By 10:00 am, a total of 29.202 million shares had been exchanged across 3,926 transactions, amounting to a value of QR 47.998 million.
