QSE Drops 0.87% at Start of Trading

Doha: The Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) general index dropped 99.53 points, or 0.87%, at the start of Tuesday's trading, down to the level of 11,327 points compared to the previous session's closing.

According to Qatar News Agency, the market was weighed down by declines across six sectors: Real Estate (-0.37%), Transportation (-0.42%), Consumer Goods and Services (-0.43%), Banks and Financial Services (-0.43%), Industrials (-0.46%), and Telecoms (-0.67%). Meanwhile, Insurance rose by (+0.58%).

By 10:00 am, QSE reported a turnover of QR 52.961 million, with 17.847 million shares traded in 2,895 transactions.
