Doha: The Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) index experienced an increase on Wednesday, closing 72.25 points higher, or 0.66 percent, at 11,061.78 points.

According to Qatar News Agency, the trading session recorded 138,996,334 shares exchanged, amounting to a value of QR 398,531,101.050. This was achieved through 23,702 transactions that spanned all market sectors.

During the session, shares of 31 companies rose, while 19 companies saw their share prices decline. Meanwhile, 4 companies' shares remained unchanged from their previous closing prices.

By the end of the trading day, the market capitalization reached QR 663,673,200,224.376, an increase from the QR 660,050,471,646.446 recorded in the previous session.
