Doha: The Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) index closed Wednesday's trading session with a slight increase of 0.98 points, or 0.01 percent, bringing the total to 11,502.99 points.

According to Qatar News Agency, the trading session saw a total of 168,625,862 shares exchanged, with a value of QAR 477,549,818.509. These transactions were conducted through 43,212 trades across all sectors.

The session concluded with 35 companies experiencing a rise in their share prices. In contrast, 14 companies saw their stocks decline, and five companies maintained their previous closing prices.

By the end of the trading session, the market capitalization reached QAR 686,233,787,983.708, showing a decrease from the previous session's QAR 686,496,853,237.524.
