Doha: Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) index lost 62.69 points, or 0.60%, at the beginning of Monday's trading, dropping to 10,383 points compared to the closing of the last session.
According to Qatar News Agency, Qatar Stock Exchange attributed the decline in the general index to the negative performance of several sectors. Transportation experienced a decline of 0.92%, Banks And Financial Services fell by 0.83%, Insurance decreased by 0.53%, Industrials dropped by 0.29%, and Telecoms saw a reduction of 0.14%. In contrast, there was a positive performance observed in the Consumer Goods and Services sector, which rose by 0.38%, and the Real Estate sector, which increased by 1%.
By 10:00 am, a total of 22.383 million shares had been traded in 2600 transactions, with a total value of QR 53.900 million.
