QSE Index Declines as Key Sectors Record Losses

Doha: The Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) general index opened lower on Tuesday, experiencing a decline of 58.74 points, or 0.54%, to reach 10,796 points, compared to the previous session's close.

According to Qatar News Agency, the QSE faced losses in several sectors, with Banks and Financial Services leading the decline at -0.81%. Other sectors such as Telecoms, Industrials, Real Estate, and Insurance also recorded decreases of -0.54%, -0.34%, -0.27%, and -0.13% respectively. In contrast, the Consumer Goods and Services and Transportation sectors saw slight increases of +0.18%.

By 10:00 am, the QSE reported a total turnover of QR 51.770 million, with 21.346 million shares being traded across 3,534 transactions.
