Doha: The general index of Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) dropped 8 points, or 0.08%, at the beginning of trading on Sunday, reaching 9,540 points, compared to last closing. QSE general index was weighed down by a decline in Insurance by 0.66%, and Consumer Goods and Services by 0.09%. However, the index saw a rise in other sectors: Telecoms by 0.45%; Real Estate by 0.40%; Industrials by 0.18%; Transportation by 0.13%; and Banks and Financial Services by 0.04%. By 10:00 am, 25.054 million shares were traded in 2,674 transactions valued QR 68.821 million. Source: Qatar News Agency
