Doha: The Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) index fell 177.06 points at the start of Monday's trading to reach 9,622.95 points.
According to Qatar News Agency, the 1.81-percent decline was due to the negative performance of seven sectors - banking and financial services (down 2.06 percent), transportation (down 2.06 percent), insurance (down 1.72 percent), industrials (down 1.51 percent), real estate (down 1.38 percent), consumer goods and services (down 1.26 percent), and telecoms (down 1.09 percent).
By 10:00 a.m., the QSE recorded a trading volume of 49 million shares worth QAR 101 million across 4,788 transactions.
