QSE Index Drops by 37.15 Points at Beginning of Trading

Doha: The Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) index experienced a decline of 37.15 points, or 0.36%, at the beginning of Thursday's trading session, settling at 10,148 points. This decrease came in comparison to the closing figures of the previous session.

According to Qatar News Agency, the decline in the QSE index was primarily due to the negative performance in several sectors. Notably, the Transportation sector saw a decrease of 0.42%, while the Consumer Goods and Services sector fell by 0.28%. The Insurance sector experienced a drop of 0.23%, Industrials by 0.20%, and Real Estate by 0.11%. In contrast, there was a slight positive performance in the Telecoms sector, which increased by 0.02%, and the Banking and Financial Services sector, which rose by 0.09%.

Around 10:00 AM, the Qatar Stock Exchange recorded 1,464 transactions, with a trading value of QR 39.936 million. These transactions were distributed among 17.809 million shares, reflecting the morning's trading activities.
