Doha: The general index of Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) rose by 13.85 points, or 0.13%, at the start of trading on Sunday, reaching 10,461 points compared to the last closing. The rise was supported by four sectors showing positive performance.
According to Qatar News Agency, the QSE figures indicated that the Banks and Financial Services sector experienced a 0.23% increase. The Transport and Real Estate sectors both rose by 0.15%, while the Consumer Goods and Services sector saw a 0.07% uptick.
Conversely, the performance was negative in other sectors. The Insurance sector declined by 0.01%, the Industrials sector decreased by 0.04%, and the Telecoms sector fell by 0.23%.
By 10:00 am, trading activity included a total of 41.878 million shares exchanged in 2,820 transactions, with a total value of QR 70.413 million.
