QSE Index Loses 11.36 Points at Beginning of Wednesday’s Trading

Doha: The Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) index lost 0.11 percent at the beginning of Wednesday's trading, losing 11.36 points and thus falling to 10,662 points, compared to the closing of the last session, under pressure from four sectors.

According to Qatar News Agency, the stock market figures attributed the decline in the general index to the negative performance of the Transportation sector by 0.99%, Insurance by 0.09%, Banking and Financial Services by 0.05%, and the Real Estate by 0.04%.

On the other hand, the performance was positive for the Telecoms by 0.23%, the Consumer Goods and Services by 0.18%, and Industrials by 0.03%. At 10:00 am, QSE recorded 1,853 transactions worth QAR 48.642 million, distributed over 28.649 million shares.
