QSE Index Loses 40.34 Points at Beginning of Trading

Doha: Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) index dropped 40.34 points, or 0.38%, at the beginning of Thursday's trading, falling to 10,605 points compared to the closing of the last session.

According to Qatar News Agency, the decline of the general index was primarily attributed to the negative performance across several sectors. The Insurance sector experienced a decrease of 0.85%, while the Real Estate sector fell by 0.48%. Similarly, the Transportation sector saw a reduction of 0.47%, the Banking and Financial Services sector declined by 0.23%, the Industrials sector decreased by 0.14%, and the Telecoms sector registered a slight drop of 0.04%. In contrast, the Consumer Goods and Services sector remained stable, showing no change at 0.00%.

As of 10:00 am, Qatar Stock Exchange recorded a total of 1,930 transactions, amounting to a value of QR 50.318 million, with the shares distributed over 25.878 million shares.
