Doha: The Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) general index opened higher on Monday, increasing by 0.22%, or 24.43 points, to reach 11,211 points, in comparison to the previous session's close.

According to Qatar News Agency, market data revealed gains across most sectors, with Telecoms leading at a rise of 0.82%. This was followed by Insurance at 0.67%, Industrials at 0.40%, Banks and Financial Services at 0.27%, and Consumer Goods and Services at 0.11%.

Conversely, some sectors experienced losses, with Real Estate falling by 0.08% and Transportation by 0.82%. By 10:00 a.m., trading turnover had reached QR 74.922 million, with 24.136 million shares exchanged in 4,359 transactions.
