Doha: The Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) general index experienced a rise of 9.50 points, or 0.09%, early Wednesday, reaching 10,493 points compared to the previous close.
According to Qatar News Agency, the QSE index's positive performance was driven by gains in six sectors. The Insurance sector led the advances with an increase of 0.53%, followed by Industrials at 0.52%, Consumer Goods and Services at 0.26%, Transportation at 0.12%, Real Estate at 0.12%, and Banks and Financial Services at 0.02%. Conversely, the Telecoms sector was the only one to decline, dropping by 0.63%.
As of 10:00 am, the trading volume on the QSE was recorded at 38.353 million shares, with a total trading value of QR 89.689 million across 2,666 transactions.
