Doha: The Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) general index experienced a decline of 58 points, or 0.50%, at the start of trading on Thursday. The index fell to 11,444 points, down from the previous session's close, with three sectors exerting downward pressure.
According to Qatar News Agency, the market saw positive performances in the Insurance sector, which rose by 0.15%, Real Estate, up by 0.12%, Consumer Goods and Services, which increased by 0.06%, and Telecoms, also up by 0.06%. In contrast, the Banks and Financial Services sector fell by 0.38%, Industrials declined by 0.52%, and Transportation dropped by 0.93%.
By 10:00 am, trading turnover had reached QAR 71.441 million, with 45.406 million shares traded across 2,645 transactions.
