Doha: The Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) general index opened lower, declining by 21.34 points, or 0.20%, to reach 10,780 points from the previous session's close. The drop was influenced by downturns in four key sectors.
According to Qatar News Agency, the Transportation sector led the decline, falling by 0.41%. This was followed by Telecoms, which decreased by 0.22%, Banks and Financial Services at a decline of 0.17%, and Industrials down by 0.14%. In contrast, Real Estate saw an increase of 0.35%, Consumer Goods and Services rose by 0.20%, and Insurance experienced a slight increase of 0.01%.
By 10:00 am, the trading turnover was recorded at QR 39.686 million, with a total of 19.164 million shares exchanged across 1,979 transactions.
