Doha: The Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) general index declined by 15.18 points, or 0.14%, at the start of trading on Tuesday, falling to 10,782 points from the previous session's close. The drop was driven by losses across four sectors.
According to Qatar News Agency, leading the decline was the Banks and Financial Services sector, which fell by 0.08%. The Consumer Goods and Services sector also experienced a decrease of 0.11%, while Industrials and Transportation sectors saw declines of 0.23% and 0.32% respectively. In contrast, the Insurance sector rose by 0.20%, with Telecoms and Real Estate sectors also experiencing gains of 0.20% and 0.11% respectively.
By 10:00 am, trading turnover reached QR 33.513 million, with 12.883 million shares traded across 1,778 transactions.
