Doha: The Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) general index dropped by 27.97 points, or 0.24%, to reach 11,487 at the start of trading on Tuesday. The decrease was attributed to losses observed across six sectors.
According to Qatar News Agency, the Telecoms sector experienced the most significant decline, falling by 0.97%. This was followed by the Industrials sector, which decreased by 0.67%, and the Insurance sector, which saw a reduction of 0.61%. The Consumer Goods and Services sector dropped by 0.37%, while the Transportation and Real Estate sectors declined by 0.13% and 0.05%, respectively. The Banks and Financial Services sector managed a slight increase of 0.02%.
As of 10:00 am, the QSE reported a trading volume of 32.862 million shares. The total turnover amounted to QR 70.357 million, spread across 3,236 transactions.
