Doha: The Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) general index fell 62.44 points, or 0.54%, to 11,429 at the start of trading on Wednesday, weighed down by losses across six sectors.
According to Qatar News Agency, the Banks and Financial Services sector led the decline, sliding 0.77%. This was followed by Transportation, which fell by 0.63%, Real Estate by 0.25%, Industrials by 0.23%, Telecoms by 0.09%, and Consumer Goods and Services by 0.05%. In contrast, the Insurance sector inched up 0.05%.
As of 10:00 am, the QSE recorded a trading volume of 24.586 million shares, with a total turnover of QR 60.536 million across 3,582 transactions.
