Doha: The Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) general index experienced a slight decline at the start of trading on Monday, slipping by 1.69 points, or 0.02%, to reach 10,783 points from the previous session's close. This minor decrease was primarily driven by downward pressure from three key sectors.
According to Qatar News Agency, the Transportation sector led the decline with a decrease of 0.30%, followed by the Insurance sector at 0.53%, and the Telecoms sector at 0.56%. In contrast, some sectors recorded positive performances, with Consumer Goods and Services rising by 0.38%, Real Estate by 0.12%, Industrials by 0.06%, and Banks and Financial Services by 0.02%.
By 10:00 am, the trading turnover stood at QAR 44.00 million, involving 17.653 million shares exchanged through 2,290 transactions.
