QSE Index Opens Week Lower

Doha: The Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) general index began the week on a lower note on Sunday, experiencing a decline of 15.54 points, or 0.13%, bringing the index down to 11,500 points at the start of trading. This downturn was influenced by declines across three key sectors.

According to Qatar News Agency, market data indicated gains in the Transportation, Real Estate, Consumer Goods and Services, and Industrials sectors, which rose by 0.26%, 0.26%, 0.20%, and 0.02%, respectively. Conversely, there were losses in the Telecoms, Banks and Financial Services, and Insurance sectors, which saw decreases of 0.05%, 0.26%, and 0.48%.

By 10:00 am, the trading turnover reached QR 58.556 million, with a total of 25.944 million shares exchanged in 3,114 transactions.
