QSE Index Rises 0.15% at Market Open

Doha: The Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) general index experienced a slight increase of 15.16 points, or 0.15%, at the start of trading on Tuesday, reaching 10,121 points compared to the previous close.

According to Qatar News Agency, the index was supported by gains in most sectors. The Telecoms sector led the way with a rise of 0.57%, followed by Banks and Financial Services with a 0.25% increase. The Transportation sector saw a 0.10% uptick, while Industrials and Consumer Goods and Services recorded increases of 0.07% and 0.05% respectively. However, the session also saw declines in the Insurance sector, down by 0.01%, and the Real Estate sector, which fell by 0.26%.

As of 10:00 am, the QSE reported a trading volume of 42.495 million shares. The total value of these transactions amounted to QR 67.008 million across 2,464 transactions.
