Doha: Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) index rose at the beginning of Tuesday's trading by 0.45%, gaining 49.67 points to reach the level of 11,149 points, compared to the previous session's close, supported by most sectors.
According to Qatar News Agency, figures from QSE showed a positive performance across most sectors. The Banking and Financial Services sector experienced an increase of 0.63%, followed by the Consumer Goods and Services sector with a rise of 0.49%. The Telecoms sector saw an uptick of 0.44%, while the Real Estate sector improved by 0.32%. Both the Industrial and Transportation sectors recorded a growth of 0.29% each. However, the Insurance sector noted a slight decline, recording a negative performance of 0.02%.
At 10:00 a.m, QSE recorded 3,511 transactions worth QR 93.025 million, distributed over 47.505 million shares. The trading activity underscores a robust participation across various sectors, with the majority contributing to the positive upturn experienced by the QSE index.
