Doha: Qatar Stock Exchange index rose by 1.40 percent at the beginning of Thursday's trading, gaining 143.76 points, and reaching the level of 10,391 points compared to the closing of Wednesday's session. Figures released by the stock exchange showed an increase in the performance of most sectors, with the banking and financial services sector rising by 2.95 percent, followed by the real estate sector with an increase of 0.87 percent, the consumer goods and services sector up by 0.41 percent, and both the insurance and industrial sectors advancing by 0.21 percent. The telecommunications sector also saw a 0.20 percent increase. In contrast, the transportation sector dropped by 0.13 percent. At around 10:00, QSE recorded 5,736 transactions worth QAR 187.927 million, distributed over 64.344 million shares. Source: Qatar News Agency
