Doha: Qatar Stock Exchange index rose by 1.9% at the beginning of Tuesday's trading session, adding 195.91 points to reach the level of 10,528 points, compared to the close of Monday session, supported by gains across all sectors.
According to Qatar News Agency, data from Qatar Stock Exchange attributed the rise in the general index to the positive performance of several sectors: Telecoms rose by 2.68%, Transportation by 2.54%, Real Estate by 2.36%, Insurance by 1.87%, Banks and Financial Services by 1.67%, Industrial by 1.59% and Consumer Goods and Services by 1.09%.
At around 10:00 AM, Qatar Stock Exchange recorded 6,687 transactions worth QAR 222.312 million, distributed over 114.759 million shares.
