QSE Index Rises Marginally at Beginning of Trading

Doha: The QSE index experienced a slight increase at the start of Tuesday's trading session, edging up by 0.01%. This gain of 1.31 points brought the index to a level of 11,294.73 points, compared to its closing position on Monday. The modest rise was supported by positive performances from four specific sectors.

According to Qatar News Agency, the upward movement of the general index was primarily driven by the Real Estate sector, which saw an improvement of 0.17%. Additionally, the Consumer Goods and Services sector rose by 0.13%, the Industrial sector increased by 0.1%, and the Banking and Financial Services sector saw a marginal gain of 0.03%. However, not all sectors shared in the positive performance. The Telecom sector experienced a decline of 0.52%, the Transport sector decreased by 0.36%, and the Insurance sector fell by 0.3%.

By 10:00 AM, the Qatar Stock Exchange had recorded a total of 4,351 transactions. These transactions amounted to a value of QAR 79.84 million and were spread over 32.01 million shares.
