Doha: The Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) index experienced a minor rise at the start of Wednesday's trading. The index increased by 0.01%, adding 1.02 points to reach 10,408 points, compared to the previous day's close, with support from five different sectors. According to Qatar News Agency, the increase in the general index was driven by positive performances in several sectors. The Real Estate sector saw an increase of 0.20%, while the Banking and Financial Services sector rose by 0.19%. The Insurance sector grew by 0.08%, Industrials by 0.05%, and Telecoms also by 0.05%. Conversely, some sectors experienced declines. The Consumer Goods and Services sector fell by 0.09%, and the Transportation sector dropped by 0.56%. As of 10:00 am, the QSE recorded a total of 1,349 transactions, with a total trading value of QR 36.085 million, spread across 13.789 million shares.
