Doha: The Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) general index began the week on a positive note, opening with an increase of 30.06 points, or 0.27%, to reach 11,129 on Sunday.
According to Qatar News Agency, the upward movement was supported by gains across all sectors. Leading the advance was the Telecoms sector, which posted an increase of 0.76%. This was followed by Insurance with a rise of 0.32%, Banks and Financial Services which grew by 0.29%, and Industrials which saw an increase of 0.26%. The Consumer Goods and Services sector also contributed with a 0.23% rise, while Real Estate and Transportation sectors recorded increases of 0.18% and 0.03%, respectively.
As of 10:00 am, the trading volume was reported at 25.337 million shares, with a turnover amounting to QR 57.202 million across 2,684 transactions.
