Doha: The Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) general index started the week higher on Sunday, gaining 8.61 points, or 0.08%, to reach 10,653 points at the opening of trading.
According to Qatar News Agency, the rise was driven by gains across five sectors. Insurance led the advance with an increase of 1.62%, followed by Real Estate at 0.39%, Industrials at 0.35%, Telecoms at 0.23%, and Banks and Financial Services at 0.06%. In contrast, the Transportation sector declined by 0.47%, while the Consumer Goods and Services sector edged down by 0.11%.
By 10:00 am, QSE reported a turnover of QR 37.992 million from 19.406 million shares traded across 1,924 transactions, highlighting active engagement in the market.
