Doha: The Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) general index opened the week in negative territory on Sunday, edging down 13.52 points, or 0.12%, to 11,294 at the start of trading.
According to Qatar News Agency, market data showed gains in three sectors, led by Telecoms, which rose 0.46%, followed by Real Estate with an increase of 0.34%, and Transportation, which edged up by 0.23%. Despite these gains, the index faced pressure from declines in several other sectors. Consumer Goods and Services dropped by 0.32%, Insurance by 0.24%, Banks and Financial Services by 0.12%, and Industrials by 0.02%.
As of 10:00 am, trading volume was recorded at 36.371 million shares, with a turnover of QR 93.945 million across 3,429 transactions.
