Doha: Al Arabi secured a spot in the semifinals of the QSL Cup with a decisive 3-0 victory over Al Shamal in a quarterfinal match on Saturday at Thani bin Jassim Stadium. The goals were scored by Ishaq Al Hajj, Youssef Msakni, and Ghanem Faisal Al Sulaiti in the 54th, 56th, and 73rd minutes, respectively. According to Qatar News Agency, in another quarterfinal, Umm Salal joined the semifinal lineup after defeating Al Rayyan 2-0 at Grand Hamad Stadium. Marouane Louadni and Victor Lekhal scored for Umm Salal in the 43rd and 71st minutes. Earlier, Al Duhail secured their place in the semifinals for the fifth time after topping Group A with 10 points from three wins, one loss, and a draw. Al Wakrah also advanced to the semifinals, leading Group B with nine points, earned through three victories and one draw.
