Doha: Al Shamal defeated Al Arabi 3-0 in their match Friday at Al Khor Stadium, as part of the sixth round of the QSL Cup.
According to Qatar News Agency, Al Shamal's goals were scored by Moroccan Younes Belhanda, who netted twice, and Algerian Abdel Samad Bounacer, bringing their total to 11 points and securing them the fourth position in the standings. Al Arabi are still in second place with 13 points despite the loss.
In another match, Al Shahania triumphed over Qatar SC with a 1-0 victory, thanks to a goal by Youssef Al Raisi at Al Shamal Stadium. With this win, Al Shahania matched Al Arabi's 13 points but are in third place due to goal difference. Qatar SC are in fifteenth place, holding four points.
Furthermore, Al Rayyan secured a convincing 4-1 win against Al Sailiya at Jassim Bin Hamad Stadium in Al Sadd Club. Brazilian Roger Guedes led the charge with two goals, complemented by goals from Abdulaziz Hatem and Brazilian Gregory da Silva. Anwar Ghazi managed the only goal for Al Sailiya. This victory helped Al Rayyan maintain their lead at the top of the table with 16 points, while Al Sailiya stayed in eighth place with nine points.
Additionally, Al Duhail defeated Al Gharafa 1-0, with Shanin Abdullah scoring the decisive goal. Al Duhail's points increased to 7, placing them 13th in the standings, while Al Gharafa remained at the bottom with just one point.
