QSL General Assembly Reviews Competitions Calendar and Clubs’ External Participation

Doha: The Ordinary General Assembly Meeting of the Qatar Stars League (QSL) on Monday explored the calendar of local competitions and clubs' external participation, in addition to a number of important topics related to the new (2025-2026) season. During the meeting, the Ordinary General Assembly was approved in accordance with QSL's statutes, the agenda was approved, and members were appointed to record and review the proceedings of the meeting.

According to Qatar News Agency, the minutes of the previous General Assembly meeting, held on June 10, 2024, were also approved, along with the annual report on QSL activities. The audited financial statements for the past year were presented and approved along with the independent auditor's report.

QSL CEO Hani Taleb Ballan said that expectations are high for the new season, which will kick off on August 14. He added that the start of the season was announced early to give everyone the opportunity to prepare and organize in a distinctive and strong manner, wishing all clubs success in the coming period and in their overseas participation, including the AFC Champions League.

He further expressed gratitude towards the clubs for their continued cooperation in implementing all development plans for the competitions and tournaments, especially the league championship, which benefit Qatar football and the national teams.
