Doha: The Qatar Stars League (QSL) announced winners of the Best of the Month awards for September, 2025, in the 2025-2026 season Doha Bank Stars League. The awards are for Best Under-23 Player, Best Coach and Best Player in addition to Best Save, Best Goal and Best XI. The choices were made based on the decision of an expert committee managing football development in QSL.
According to Qatar News Agency, Algerian head coach Djamel Belmadi of Al-Duhail has been named Coach of the Month for the first time this season. Fellow Algerian and Al-Gharafa midfielder Yacine Brahimi was awarded Player of the Month for his standout performances, while Ali Saudi, the young Tunisian defender for Qatar SC, received the Best U23 Player award.
Al-Duhail goalkeeper Bautista Burke won the Save of the Month for a key stop against Al-Sadd in Round 6. The Goal of the Month went to Dutch forward Pelle van Amersfoort of Al-Shahania for his strike against Al-Sadd in Round 4.
The Team of the Month for September featured a blend of talent from across the league, with representation from Al-Gharafa, Al-Duhail, Qatar SC, and others: Goalkeeper: Khalifa Aboubacar (Al-Gharafa); Defenders: Dani Traor© (Al-Gharafa), Ali Saoudi (Qatar SC), Abdullah Yousuf (Al-Rayyan), Sultan Al-Braik (Al-Duhail); Midfielders: Mohamed Mneai (Al-Shamal), Marco Verratti (Al-Duhail), Oussama Tannane (Umm Salal), Adel Boulbina (Al-Duhail); Forwards: Yacine Brahimi (Al-Gharafa), Krzysztof Piatek (Al-Duhail).
In the current league standings, Al-Shamal lead the table with 14 points, edging Qatar SC into second place on goal difference. Al-Gharafa sit third with 13 points, while Al-Wakrah follow closely in fourth with 11 points.
