DOHA: The second edition of the international forum 'Youth at Hostel', organized by Qatar Youth Hostels (QYH) under the Ministry of Sports and Youth and in collaboration with the United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF), commenced today at the Lusail Multipurpose Hall. Running until November 7, the event gathers 22 young participants from Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Slovenia, Italy, Sudan, Morocco, Bahrain, Egypt, and Palestine to formulate recommendations addressing climate change and its global impact. According to Qatar News Agency, Abdullah Saeed, the Head of Public Relations and Communications at Qatar Youth Hostels, emphasized the forum's alignment with the 17 Sustainable Development Goals, reflecting QYH's dedication to environmental care and sustainable development. The initiative aims to empower these global objectives through its annual activities and programs. The forum includes multiple workshops featuring collaboration from various governmental and private entities. Participants include the Ministry of Sports and Youth, the Ministry of Environment and Climate Change, the Ministry of Municipality, the National Planning Council, Qatar University, the International Youth Hostel Federation, AquaSports Company, and Al-Hedaya School for Boys with Special Needs - Al-Mesila. Additionally, the forum organizes tours for international delegates to explore Qatar's archaeological, tourist, and historical sites, including visits to the Qatar National Museum, Souq Waqif, and the Museum of Islamic Art. Participants will also enjoy a sea tour in Al-Sanbouk and a visit to the Flag Square in Old Doha Port.
