Manama, The Ministry of Municipalities Affairs and Agriculture has announced that Bahraini farmers can now register to participate in the 12th edition of the Bahraini Farmers Market for the 2024-2025 season. Registration is open from today, Tuesday October 15, until October 31. Asim Abdullatif, Undersecretary for Agriculture and Animal Wealth Affairs, confirmed the Ministry's readiness to launch the market next November at Budaiya Botanical Garden. This event is organised in partnership with the National Initiative for Agricultural Sector Development (NIAD) and STC Bahrain. The Undersecretary explained that registration is open for farmers, agricultural companies, nurseries, date shops, apiaries, restaurants, cafes, and entrepreneurs offering local products. Interested parties can register via the electronic form on the Ministry's website, www.mun.gov.bh, or through their Instagram account @mun_bh. He also noted that the organising committee has planned various programmes and activities for the event, whic h will take place every Saturday starting in December. The market serves as an important platform for marketing Bahraini crops and products, attracting both citizens and visitors from neighbouring countries. The Undersecretary highlighted that the farmers' market encourages the growth and diversity of local agricultural production, as seen in previous editions.
