Bethlehem- Ma'an- The management and leadership of the Terra Santa Scouts Group held their meeting today, Friday, August 16, 2024, where the administrative and financial reports of the group were reviewed, which included a comprehensive review of the achievements and challenges faced by the group during the past period. Following the presentation of the report and by secret vote, confidence was renewed in Leader George Kanawati to continue leading the group, with the blessing of the group's spiritual guide, Father Rami Asakrieh. Leader George Kanawati, who joined the Terra Santa Scouts Group in 1996, plays a pivotal role in developing the scouting movement. He was appointed leader of the group in 2020, and holds an international training leader certificate. In addition, he currently holds the position of Training and Media Commissioner at the Palestinian Catholic Scouts Foundation of St. John the Baptist. At the end of the meeting, Leader George Kanawati thanked the spiritual guide Father Rami Asakrieh and the two councils for renewing their confidence in him, stressing the importance of working together to advance the group. He pointed out the challenges facing the group, but with teamwork, trust and commitment of individuals, the Eagles of the Cradle were able to remain at the top and will always contribute to building the individual and refining their talents based on scouting laws and regulations. This unanimous renewal reflects the firm confidence that Leader George enjoys from the administration and members of the group, and reinforces the group's commitment to the spirit of cooperation and continuous progress under his leadership.
