HEBRON - Ma'an - Residents of Al-Fawwar refugee camp, south of Hebron, bid farewell to the body of martyr Yahya Daniel Awad, 32, on Wednesday afternoon. Awad succumbed to his critical wounds after being shot in the chest by Israeli occupation forces during their raid on the camp last night. Three young men were moderately injured by Israeli gunfire and were taken to Abu al-Hassan al-Qasim Governmental Hospital in Yatta for treatment. The mourners paraded the body of the martyr Awad through the alleys and streets of the camp, before the funeral prayer was held for him in the Grand Mosque in the middle of the camp, and then he was carried on shoulders to be buried in the Martyrs' Cemetery in the camp. In response to the call of the national action factions and the Fatah movement, a comprehensive strike and mourning spread throughout the camp, in addition to the suspension of work in all facilities and departments of the Hebron Municipality, as the workers' union called for mourning for the soul of their mart yred colleague Awad, who worked in the camel makers' department.
