The capital city of the Democratic Republic of Congo, Kinshasa, has witnessed a sharp increase in suspected monkeypox cases, with 111 cases reported in a single day, including 21 confirmed cases. Two deaths have been recorded out of 548 cases reported nationwide since the outbreak began. However, the mortality rate in Kinshasa remains lower compared to other regions of the country.
