Riyadh: The Heritage Commission of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia announced today the opening of the eighth joint periodic exhibition of antiquities from the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries at the National Museum in Riyadh. The exhibition features the participation of relevant antiquities and museum authorities from across the GCC.
According to Qatar News Agency, the exhibition, which runs until December 30, is organized by the Saudi Heritage Commission in cooperation with the National Museum and the Museums Authority, and in strategic partnership with the GCC Secretariat.
The exhibition showcases a wide array of artifacts, including stone and pottery tools, inscriptions and writings, works of art and architecture, jewelry, and everyday objects.
Moreover, daily programs and interactive activities utilizing digital technologies and modern media offer visitors a contemporary educational experience that recreates historical scenes and deepens their understanding of the civilizational trajectory of the Arabian Peninsula.
