Russia Claims Capture of Zaritchnoye and Destruction of 335 Drones in Eastern Ukraine

Zaritchnoye: The Russian military announced the capture of a new town in eastern Ukraine, marking a significant development in the ongoing conflict. The town of Zaritchnoye, located in the Zaporizhzhia region, has reportedly been taken by the Vostok Group of Forces, according to a statement from the Russian Defense Ministry.

According to Qatar News Agency, the announcement revealed that Russian forces successfully eliminated 1,402 Ukrainian soldiers and shot down 335 drones in their latest offensive. The operation also targeted key military industry and energy facilities, as well as transport infrastructure utilized by Ukrainian forces.

The statement further detailed that Russian forces, bolstered by tactical aircraft and offensive Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs), launched coordinated strikes on Ukrainian military and industrial facilities. These attacks extended to fuel and energy depots, infrastructure supporting Ukrainian armed forces, and temporary deployment sites across 147 zones.

In recent weeks, Russia has reported strategic advancements across several combat fronts, leading to the acquisition of multiple new territories in eastern Ukraine. The capture of Zaritchnoye is presented as a pivotal achievement in these ongoing efforts.
