Moscow: The Russian Ministry of Defense announced on Tuesday that its air defense systems shot down 23 Ukrainian drones in the Kursk and Belgorod regions of Russia.

According to Qatar News Agency, the Ministry stated that the air defense systems on duty destroyed 23 Ukrainian drones, 19 of which were intercepted over the Kursk region, while four were shot down over the Belgorod region.

Since the beginning of the war three years ago, Russia and Ukraine have exchanged almost daily reports confirming that each side has repelled attacks from the other. These reports, however, remain unverified due to the circumstances of the war and the ongoing fighting.
