Moscow: The Russian Ministry of Defense announced Thursday that its air defense systems successfully destroyed eight Ukrainian drones over Russian territory overnight.

According to Qatar News Agency, the Ministry stated that the air defense systems, which are on constant alert, intercepted and shot down the drones. The breakdown of the incidents includes two drones over Kursk Oblast and two over Voronezh Oblast. Additionally, two drones were neutralized over Vladimir Oblast, and another two over Belgorod Oblast.

This event is part of a continuing pattern since the war began three years ago. Russia and Ukraine have been engaged in nearly daily exchanges, each reporting repelled attacks without independent verification, given the complexities and ongoing nature of the conflict.
